Baseball Game Preview: Tate Aggies vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins

Tate has won nine straight games at home, while Gulf Breeze has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. Tate will host Gulf Breeze at 7:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Tate after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Robertsdale by a score of 5-4.

Keelan Beasley was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits.

On the hitting side, Tate saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Ozuna, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, while Gulf Breeze put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Pace. Gulf Breeze came out on top against Pace by a score of 4-0.

Gulf Breeze also got a great performance from Tanner Owens as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 5.2 innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Owens has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Tommy Regan was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Roman Jackson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Gulf Breeze has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. Tate's loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
