Softball Recap: Diamond Hill-Jarvis Has No Trouble Against Dunbar

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carter-Riverside, Diamond Hill-Jarvis was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Dunbar Wildcats with a sharp 20-10 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Kassandra Moreno was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Roselyne Rangel, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Moreno wasn't the only one making solid contact: Diamond Hill-Jarvis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win got Diamond Hill-Jarvis back to even at 9-9. As for Dunbar, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Diamond Hill-Jarvis and Dunbar will both be playing Southwest the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
