Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Lynx vs. Ballard Beavers

Lincoln hasn't had much luck against Ballard recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lincoln Lynx will venture away from home to take on the Ballard Beavers at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lincoln took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 61-56 W over Seattle Academy.

Meanwhile, Ballard entered their tilt with Chief Sealth on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Seahawks 65-48. Given the Beavers' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Seahawks are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lincoln's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Ballard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Lincoln came up short against Ballard in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 51-40. Can Lincoln avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
