University Prep and Bear Creek are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2018, but not for long. The Pumas will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, University Prep didn't have quite enough to beat South Whidbey and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Bear Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Overlake.

Bear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for University Prep, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

University Prep came up short against Bear Creek when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Pumas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
