Volleyball Recap: Simsbury Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lewis Mills on Monday, Simsbury came back down to earth. The Trojans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Hartford Hornets on Wednesday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Simsbury started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-12, 27-25, 25-16.

Simsbury's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for East Hartford, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Simsbury didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Maloney on the 25th. As for East Hartford, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sports & Medical Sciences Academy/Bulkeley on the 25th.
