A total of 76 high school players from the United States have been chosen in the first 10 rounds of the Major League Baseball Draft, but an impressive list of pitchers still remains on the board heading into the third day.

The third day of the draft will see the 30 MLB teams draft in rounds 11-40, starting at noon ET. Some outstanding pitchers are still available, including Clarksville (Tenn.) righthander Donny Everett and De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) lefthander Justin Hooper.

Both Everett and Hooper were targeted as potential first round draft picks leading up to the draft, however both are still around after 315 selections. Part of the reason for their availability might be their signability. Everett has committed to pitch at Vanderbilt next year while Hooper is committed to UCLA.

Several other talented pitchers are still available. Joe DeMers of College Park (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) and Luken Baker of Oak Ridge (Conroe, Texas), both of whom are in contention for MaxPreps National Player of the Year honors, are still available. DeMers is headed to Washington while Baker has signed with TCU.

Ke'bryan Hayes of Concordia Lutheran (Tomball, Texas) was the first son of a former Major Leaguer (Charlie Hayes) to be drafted from the high school ranks, going No. 32 overall to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dazmon Cameron of Eagle's Landing Christian Academy (McDonough, Ga.) went No. 37 to the Houston Astros while Tyler Nevin of Poway (Calif.) went No. 38 to the Colorado Rockies and Nick Shumpert of Highlands Ranch (Colo.) went No. 220 overall to the Detroit Tigers.

Florida leads with 13 players drafted while California has 12, Texas has 10 and Georgia has nine.
