Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crowley). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ville Platte Bulldogs a 26-0 shutout on Thursday. The Gent haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Crowley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Ville Platte, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Crowley will face off against Midland at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crowley is facing Midland at the right time seeing as Midland is stuck on a four-game losing streak. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Elizabeth will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Ville Platte surely won't give up without a fight.
