Softball Recap: Western International Drops Highest Score of Season Against Crestwood

Western International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Crestwood Chargers. On the bright side, the 15- run effort marked the Cowboys' highest-scoring contest to date.

Western International's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Crestwood, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western International will host Edsel Ford at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cowboys are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Crestwood, they will take on Romulus at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.86 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
