Vega had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 51-26 margin over the West Texas Comanches. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Comanches are ranked 803rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vega is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for West Texas, they dropped their record down to 16-16 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Vega will challenge Quanah at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. West Texas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
