Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastbrook). They blew past the Wes-Del Warriors 72-46 on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-17.
Eastbrook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malakai Luthy led the charge by putting up 14 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Luthy a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Younce, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 14 points along with seven assists and five boards.
Wes-Del's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Josiah Love, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 17 points, and Julian Carpenter, who posted nine points and six rebounds.
Eastbrook has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
