Softball Recap: CORE Butte Comes Up Short

CORE Butte lost against Chester back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lynx lost 12-2 to the Volcanoes. The Lynx have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

CORE Butte saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lali Gonzalez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

CORE Butte's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Chester, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

CORE Butte has already played their next matchup, an 11-6 victory against Redding Christian on the 8th. As for Chester, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 defeat against Burney on the 3rd.
