Volleyball Recap: Katy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Morton Ranch on Tuesday, Katy came back down to earth. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Centennial Titans on Friday.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-20.

Ashlyn Dodd paced Katy's offense, picking up four kills. Dodd got some help from Sidney Paxton and her six assists.

Centennial found their leader in freshman Nadia Cobos, who had six digs and three aces. Kate Long also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Katy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Katy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against McKinney North on the 22nd. As for Centennial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against John Paul II on the 22nd.
