Baseball Recap: Boyd-Buchanan Triumphs

The Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers beat the Knox Central Panthers 5-2 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.

Boyd-Buchanan got a great performance from Liam Cooper as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Cooper a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Aaron Hise was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March.

Boyd-Buchanan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Knox Central struck out 11 times.

Boyd-Buchanan's win bumped their record up to 6-10-1. As for Knox Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Boyd-Buchanan has already played their next contest (against Union County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Knox Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-4 defeat against Karns on the 12th.
