Football Recap: Issac Mcfadden's Menacing Defense Leads Lansingburgh over Cobleskill-Richmondville

Lansingburgh won the last time they faced Cobleskill-Richmondville and Anari Fredericks did his part to make sure it happened again. The Knights snuck past the Bulldogs with a 21-16 victory on Thursday for which the team can thank Fredericks, who rushed for 229 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Lansingburgh's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 6-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

One reason for the win was Lansingburgh's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Issac McFadden was especially locked on to Cobleskill-Richmondville's QB and sacked him twice. McFadden also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

The win made it two in a row for Lansingburgh and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.5 points over those games. As for Cobleskill-Richmondville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Lansingburgh nor Cobleskill-Richmondville have any future games scheduled.
