Baseball Recap: Page County Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Page County challenged Stuarts Draft on Monday. The Panthers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

Page County dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Stuarts Draft, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-8.

Page County and Stuarts Draft could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Panthers will square off against Central Woodstock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (289 vs. 138). Meanwhile, Stuarts Draft (ranked 261st) will meet Riverheads (ranked 74th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
