Volleyball Game Preview: Carroll County Panthers vs. Newport Wildcats

The Carroll County Panthers will take on the Newport Wildcats at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Carroll County came up short against Dayton and fell 2-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Greendevils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Newport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Williamstown on Thursday.

Newport's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Carroll County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Carroll County was able to grind out a solid victory over Newport in their previous meeting back in August of 2023, winning 2-0. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
