Ballard had won nine straight at home, but on Saturday they bumped their record up to 21-11 to make it ten. They came out on top against the Elizabethtown Panthers by a score of 11-6. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Shelby James and Jaedyn Lyons were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, James didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Lyons pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. At the plate, James went 4-for-5 with two runs and one RBI, while Lyons went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those four hits gave James a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Myla Jones, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matilda Gorley, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Ballard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are 13-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

As for Elizabethtown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this contest were averaging 3.64 runs allowed.

On Elizabethtown's side, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maci Singleton, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As of now, neither Ballard nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
