Combine Academy Varsity came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 60-55 W against the Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Goats: when they faced off against the Eagles back in December of 2024, they had to take a 62-57 loss.

Despite the defeat, Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayce Newton posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Maitre, who had ten points.

Combine Academy Varsity's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-17.

Looking ahead, Combine Academy Varsity will take on Wake County Academy HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
