Softball Recap: St. Pauls Comes Up Short

St. Pauls came into this matchup off a tough 11-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Midway Raiders by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost eight in a row.

Ke'Mya Baldwin and Angel Purcell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Baldwin went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple, while Purcell went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

St. Pauls now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Midway, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

As of now, neither St. Pauls nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
