Basketball Recap: Lake Worth Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

If FAU High wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lake Worth, they should've done a better job of containing Jocilynne Sweeney. The Lake Worth Trojans simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the FAU High Owls 48-13 thanks in part to Sweeney, who went 10 of 17 en route to 21 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. Those 21 points gave her a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake Worth and bumps their season record up to 6-10. As for FAU High, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lake Worth will venture away from home to face off against Wellington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for FAU High, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-7 loss against Dr. Joaquin Garcia on the 29th.
