Baseball Recap: Bradenton Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Bradenton Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They never let the Booker Tornadoes get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Matthew Johnson was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Henderson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Bradenton Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Booker only posted an OBP of .333.

Bradenton Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Booker, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Bradenton Christian will host IMG Academy Navy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Booker, they will venture away from home to face off against Gulf Coast H at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gulf Coast H has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.18 runs per game on average), something Booker will no doubt try to take advantage of.
