Wheat Ridge is 7-1 against Conifer since September of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Wheat Ridge Farmers will head out to face off against the Conifer Lobos at 4:30 p.m. Wheat Ridge is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Jesse Nichols made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Nichols was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with a home run and five RBI.

In other batting news, Conifer let Eleanor Sikora and Ruby Haver loose on the outfield. Sikora scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4, while Haver went 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Sikora continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Aikin, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Conifer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Creek only posted a batting average of .143.

Wheat Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Conifer, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Wheat Ridge's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. Wheat Ridge has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Conifer, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Wheat Ridge continue to outrun the ball?
