It's playoff time, and Monticello had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Piute Thunderbirds on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Buckaroo: when they faced off against the Thunderbirds back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Marlee Mack paced Monticello's offense, picking up 16 kills. Mack got some help from Josie Mack and her 27 assists. Marlee and Josie didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Monticello's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Piute, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.

Monticello wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Rich on the 24th. As for Piute, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Water Canyon on the 24th.
