Football Recap: Washington's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Washington waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They didn't even let the Little Axe Indians on the board, marking their second-straight 55-0 shutout. Considering the Warriors have won four games by more than 28 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Little Axe, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Washington will square off against rival Marlow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Warriors 10.8, the Outlaws 4.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Little Axe is set to challenge their familiar foe Dickson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
