Recap: Stanley Panthers vs. Northwood Gators
The Stanley Panthers can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-39 win over Northwood.
Despite the loss, Northwood had strong showings from Jahari Mccoy, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals, and Ken'Tyreon Eddie, who scored 18 points. The game was Mccoy's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Stanley's victory bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Northwood, they have fallen quite a ways from their 30-7 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stanley will square off against Doyline at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Doyline is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Northwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Converse at 3:10 p.m. on Friday. Converse is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
