Meanwhile, Calhoun Academy entered their tilt with Orangeburg Prep on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They had just enough and edged the Indians out 29-26.
Calhoun Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Chase Strickland, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns, and Colt Layton, who rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns. With that strong performance, Strickland is now averaging an impressive 101.8 rushing yards per game.
Faith Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Calhoun Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
