Baseball Recap: Garden City Comes Up Short

Garden City's last matchup with Thomas More Prep-Marian could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Buffaloes came up short against the Monarchs, falling 18-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their meetings with the Monarchs: they've now lost four in a row.

Garden City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jakobe Rathbun, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Garden City's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-4-1.

Coming up, Garden City will face off against Great Bend at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Thomas More Prep-Marian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
