Basketball Recap: Hartford Makes It 21 in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Hartford, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Port Washington Pirates 71-35. The Orioles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 27 points or more this season.

Hartford's victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.7 points over those games. As for Port Washington, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Hartford will head out on the road to face off against Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hartford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 matchups -- so hopefully Grafton likes a good challenge. As for Port Washington, they will host Homestead at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Homestead will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Port Washington surely won't give up without a fight.
