Basketball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Bonnabel Bruins, falling 81-36. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 91-40 to them when the teams met back in November of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Riverdale lost, don't look at Byron Perrilliat. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points and four steals. Perrilliat is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Bonnabel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Riverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bonnabel, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-39 win against Crescent City Christian on the 18th.
