Softball Recap: El Capitan Comes Up Short

El Capitan lost to Atwater back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gauchos took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Gauchos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tasha Dickey made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

El Capitan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Atwater, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Capitan will welcome Merced at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gauchos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Atwater, they will be playing at home against Buhach Colony at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunder have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
