Basketball Game Preview: Quincy Jackrabbits vs. Toppenish Wildcats

Quincy is 0-10 against Toppenish since January of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Quincy Jackrabbits will head out on the road to square off against the Toppenish Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

Quincy is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 73-34 loss at the hands of Toppenish. While losing is never fun, the Jackrabbits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Wildcats are ranked 88th).

Toppenish's win came from a few key players Quincy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jewelisa Landa, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points and five steals. What's more, she also posted a 63% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Samiah Baker was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Toppenish was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Toppenish's record is now 12-9. As for Quincy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.
