Basketball Recap: Indian Creek Falls Despite Big Games from Isaac Willis and Everett Willis

Indian Creek has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Riverdale Rams at home by a 54-37 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while the Rams are ranked 217th).

Indian Creek's loss came despite strong showings from Everett Willis and Isaac Willis. Everett posted ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks, while Isaac had seven points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Indian Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Riverdale, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-9.

Indian Creek has already played their next match (against Serena), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Riverdale, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-71 win against Orion on the 18th.
