Baseball Recap: Auburn Mountainview Lions vs. Stadium Tigers

It was a good run, but Auburn Mountainview unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stadium Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Auburn Mountainview of the 11-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Auburn Mountainview saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gino Trippy Jr., who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

On Stadium's side, Riley Newman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Jesse Winkler was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Heinze, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI.

Auburn Mountainview now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Stadium, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.
