Soccer Recap: Mexia Takes a Loss

Mexia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the China Spring Cougars. The Black Cats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Crystal Gonzalez, who's now up to six this season.

Mexia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for China Spring, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mexia will challenge Lorena at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lorena will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Mexia surely won't give up without a fight. As for China Spring, they will face off against Robinson at 5:00 p.m. on February 18th.
