Basketball Recap: Arcanum Takes a Loss

After soaring to 73 points the game before, Arcanum was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They were beaten by the Carroll Patriots 56-22. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Patriots are ranked 31st).

When it comes to explaining why Arcanum lost, don't look at Caroline Long. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards.

Arcanum's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Carroll, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Arcanum has already played their next matchup (against Twin Valley South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Carroll will face off against Beavercreek at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
