It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Limestone can now relate to. They fell just short of the Plainview Bears by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Lilly Bethune was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilee Legg, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

West Limestone's loss dropped their record down to 44-6. As for Plainview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 38-8-1 record this season.

As of now, neither West Limestone nor Plainview have any future games scheduled.
