Basketball Game Preview: Colchester Lakers vs. Mt. Mansfield Cougars

The Colchester Lakers will head out to challenge the Mt. Mansfield Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colchester is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Colchester is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Lyndon Institute, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Colchester was ranked 17th). Colchester took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lyndon Institute on Friday.

Meanwhile, Mt. Mansfield ended up a good deal behind South Burlington on Friday and lost 58-43. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mt. Mansfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Colchester, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Colchester didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Mt. Mansfield when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 61-57 victory.
