There's no place like home for Huntington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the South Charleston Black Eagles on Thursday. The Highlanders haven't had any issues with the Black Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Huntington got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 23-25, 15-10.

Brianna Anderson and Bella Anderson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Brianna had six kills and four digs, while Bella had eight digs and one assist. Brianna is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Huntington's win bumped their record up to 5-6-2. As for South Charleston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Huntington has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Poca on the 18th. As for South Charleston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 20th.
