Palmetto Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 80-54 walloping at the hands of Pinewood Prep. Palmetto Christian Academy has struggled against Pinewood Prep recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Pinewood Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Jones, who scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks. Troy Dandridge was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Palmetto Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Pinewood Prep, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmetto Christian Academy will square off against Northside Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinewood Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwood Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwood Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Pinewood Prep is ranked 67th).
