Baseball Recap: Mission Vista Takes a Loss

Mission Vista saw some tournament action on Monday. They lost 8-1 to the Hemet Bulldogs.

Mission Vista saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JJ Ayala, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Keegan Jimenez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Mission Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Hemet, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.

Mission Vista and Hemet could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Mission Vista will square off against Durango at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 921 places (940 vs. 19). Meanwhile, Hemet (ranked 571st) will meet Escondido (ranked 99th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
