South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind extends home losing streak to nine

This season hasn't been kind to the South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They were outmatched by McCormick at home and fell 56-27. South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-4.

Jamari Morton went supernova for McCormick, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Morton scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Houston, who scored four points along with five steals.

South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind's defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.4 points per game. As for McCormick, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.

South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind will head out on the road to square off against the Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Thornwell comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for McCormick, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Blue Flashes at 6:00 p.m. Calhoun Falls Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully the Chiefs likes a good challenge.
