Western Albemarle waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 63-51 victory over the Freedom Eagles. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Eagles are ranked 246th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Western Albemarle's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Freedom, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
