Volleyball Recap: West Point Dragons vs. South Mountain Jaguars
West Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the South Mountain Jaguars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.
Chaela Curry paced West Point's offense, picking up five kills. Curry got some help from Chelsea Harrell and her eight assists. Curry also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Angie Reyes, each putting up two.
West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for South Mountain, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8.
West Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Tolleson on the 29th. As for South Mountain, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Maryvale on the 29th.
