Baseball Recap: Canal Winchester Takes a Loss

Canal Winchester and St. Charles squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Canal Winchester had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-0 to the Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Canal Winchester's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for St. Charles, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-15.

Canal Winchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Charles, they will take on New Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
