Preview: Sequoyah vs. Howard Tech
On Friday Sequoyah take on Howard Tech at 7:30 PM. Sequoyah are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
After a string of three wins, Sequoyah's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They lost to East Hamilton by a decisive 14-31 margin. Sequoyah's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Trevor Stakely, who caught passes for 95 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Howard Tech lost to Chattanooga Central, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 6-41.
Sequoyah had enough points to win and then some against Howard Tech the last time the two teams met, taking their contest 29-13.
