Baseball Recap: Pottstown Takes a Loss

Pottstown scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 13-3 to the Exeter Township Eagles. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Pottstown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reece Murphy, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Murphy also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Pottstown's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Exeter Township, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pottstown will welcome Upper Perkiomen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Exeter Township, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Muhlenberg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
