Volleyball Recap: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Norwalk Truckers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Columbian had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Norwalk Truckers. The victory was familiar territory for the Tornadoes who have now won three matchups in a row.
Columbian took Norwalk into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 26-24, 22-25, 25-22, 15-10.
Kaela Jenkins paced Columbian's offense, picking up 24 kills. Jenkins got some help from
Avary Brown and her 39 assists. Finally, Jenkins was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high eight blocks.
Despite the loss, Norwalk still got an impressive performance from Mac Wineman, who had 15 digs.
