Volleyball Recap: Verrado Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Verrado barely beat Buckeye the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vipers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks on Tuesday. The Vipers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th.

While Verrado won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-23.

Alexander Marrero paced Verrado's offense, picking up eight kills. Marrero got some help from Zachary Doerksen and his 32 assists.

Verrado is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Buckeye, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Coincidentally, Verrado and Buckeye will both be playing Youngker the next time they take the court. The Hawks will host the Roughriders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Vipers will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
