Football Recap: Horizon Takes a Loss

Horizon might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Lake Nona who claimed the real prize. The Hawks were dealt a 40-9 defeat at the hands of the Lions. The Hawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Horizon lost, don't look at Kaio Oliveira. Despite the final result, he rushed for 109 yards and one TD.

Jerome JJ Hill had a dynamite game For Lake Nona., rushing for 108 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lake Nona, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
