Football Game Preview: Hebron Christian Lions vs. East Jackson Eagles

Hebron Christian is a perfect 4-0 against East Jackson since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. The game will give Hebron Christian their first taste of in-conference action this season.

Hebron Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: Blessed Trinity, who was ranked 25th at the time (Hebron Christian was ranked 23rd). The Lions secured a 22-17 W over the Titans on Friday.

It was another big night for Devon Caldwell, who rushed for 150 yards and two scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass.

Meanwhile, East Jackson strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took down East Hall 52-38. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

East Jackson's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Hebron Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything came up roses for Hebron Christian against East Jackson when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 66-7 win. In that matchup, the Lions amassed a halftime lead of 45-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
